Olivia Burton Bracelet Review & Working On My Personal Style
Like most bloggers, I am a massive sucker for cute packaging. So, when this parcel arrived from Olivia Burton it was basically a dream come true. The whole experience of receiving this as a gift, it was an anniversary present from Chris, was just made even more lovely by the gorgeous box and packaging that it arrived in.
I'm a massive Olivia Burton fan anyway, and already have one of their gorgeous watches, so when I saw the packaging I pretty much knew I was going to love what was inside, and I wasn't wrong.
Inside the layers of delicate floral boxes and velvet pouches, was this stunning rose gold knot bangle. I'm not someone to go for showy jewellery, so this classic simple style is exactly my taste. I find simple pieces like these so appealing and the quality of this piece is just so perfect. Everything about this bracelet makes it feel like a really special piece. Not only is it beautifully packaged and gorgeous to look at it, but it's well made and sturdy.
You really can't go wrong with a simple, elegant piece like this and its these little accessories that always make me feel so much more put together and like I've made an outfit more me. I always think personal style is more of a constant journey than something that you 'find', but recently as I get further into my twenties, I've definitely noticed an evolution in the way I'm dressing. I gravitate more towards one or two well-made pieces, like this bracelet, to add small touches of elegance to an otherwise plain outfit. Whereas before I may have relied on a more fast-fashion approach to dressing.
As a whole I like to think my style is developing in a more sustainable way, I invest in my accessories or statement pieces, but keep everything else fairly simple. I'd much rather add a stunning rose gold bangle, like this one, to just a pair of black jeans and a dark floral shirt, than wear something super statement. I'm much more of an understated dresser these days, and I'm totally okay with that. I love neutrals, I love rose gold jewellery and I love a pair of black skinny jeans.
