I've been getting much better at sticking to a proper skincare routine recently, and I've finally found some products which I really love. So, I thought it was about time I shared my routine and 'hero' products with you all.
Step one is removing make-up and cleansing. I use a micellar water to take off most of my make-up, just using a cotton pad and sweeping it over my face. Right now I'm using this Botanics one (above) but I don't have a particular preference on micellar waters, I find them all fairly similar.
To follow this up I make sure my skin is really clean by going in with the Oskia Renaissance Cleanser and then a warm face cloth. Yes, this cleanser is pricey, but I'm totally in love with it. Since using it my skin has really been at it's best, it's much clearer, more even in texture and I love the super-soft feeling of my skin straight after using this. For me, it's worth the hefty price tag.
Step 2 is Moisturising. I start of with this Aloe Eye Defence from The Body Shop, using an eye cream is something I've often let slip and not bothered with. But, I've been trying to remember to use it, and I know when I do my under eye concealer sits much better.
For my Serum and Moisturiser I've been using these two gorgeous products from Ren. I'm a big fan of Ren Skincare, and this moisturiser in particular really suits my skin. I'm onto my second bottle of it, and I'll probably buy many more. It's not too heavy, but with the serum underneath, it keeps my skin hydrated all day even in cold weather and when being blasted by central heating in the office.
Finally, at Night Time I just use one product on my skin. I've been using the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate for almost a year now and loving it. If I have any breakouts, a good layer of this at nighttime really helps to tackle it. I always wake up with hydrated feeling skin, and I've seen such a reduction in discolouration and redness since using this. Another true hero products.
