It's Spring Time! So I thought I'd talk you through a few of my current favourites, starting from left to right. Let's get stuck in.
1. Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer
I bought this product on recommendation from a lovely girl in Space NK, I specifically wanted something that would help foundation to sit nicely on my slightly unevenly textured skin. This really fits the bill; it's super hydrating and keeps my skin smooth and moisturised all day, but without feeling heavy. I can never really tell how much primers really help with lasting-power, so I can't attest to that, but if it's hydration you're after then this could be great for you too.
2. Olivia Burton Watch
I had been lusting after one of these watches for so long, every time I walked by the John Lewis near my flat I'd basically press my face against the window display housing this watch and sigh at how pretty it was. It was becoming a little excessive. But clearly all that gawping didn't go unnoticed because this little watch found it's way into my lap on the morning of my birthday! (Thank you, Chris) This beautiful thing hasn't left my wrist much since then, it's gorgeous quality and such a pretty accessory for every outfit. I really think having a watch on can make the most casual outfit look a bit more professional and put together, I'm a total convert.
3. Accesorize Triangle Earrings
I had a little miss-hap on our trip to Bath, we were rushing out to meet some friends for dinner and I was really behind on getting ready. So, to cut a long story short, I ended up tottering down the street in my heels, trying to put my favourite earrings in. When I got to the restaurant I realised I only had the earring stud in and not the drop-down back part. Disaster. So, obviously, when I got back to Norwich I had to try and hunt down some replacements for my no-longer-sold favourites. These pretty triangle earrings are easing my pangs of loss somewhat.
4 . Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate
This night oil treatment is something I've been looking at and thinking about purchasing for years, having seen so many great reviews and so I decided last month to finally treat myself, and my skin, to something new. I know you've probably all heard how lovely this oil is, so I'm not going to ramble for ages, I just want to add my two cents to the list of praise. I love this, it's changed my skin, it really has. I tend to be blemish prone and they tend to leave red scarring for some time after they've left, but applying this oil every night has not only kept blemishes at bay but also helped scars heal quicker. Even my boyfriend has commented on how good my skin looks and bare-faced confidence is something I've been wishing I had for years, so this oil has all my love!
5. Accesorize Blue Earrings
Another purchase to fill the earring void in my life after the tragedy in Bath. These blue ones add a touch of class to an outfit and a little hint of sparkle. Love.
6. Maybelline Super Stay Nail Polish in Surreal
I'm a huge fan of the Maybelline Super Stay range in general, they apply easily and wear much better than any other nail polish I've tried. But, my love has increased even more since purchasing this gorgeous blue colour. I don't own any thing else like this and it's just so pretty, yet still understated, and perfect for Spring and into Summer. Also, currently five days in and no chips. #winning
7. Laura Mercier Fan Brush
This fan brush made it's way into my life because I wanted something small and dainty to apply my highlight with. I'd never used a fan brush before and didn't really know what to expect, but I really do like using this for highlighting the tops of my cheek bones. It applies just the right amount, and it's great quality - hello, soft bristles!
Honourable Mention: Ren EverCalm Global Protection Day Cream (Not Pictured)
Silly me, I forgot about this moisturiser when I was taking the photos for this post, but I still wanted to mention this. Just like the kiehls oil, this is a new addition to my skincare routine and, again, I'm completely in love with it. I have very sensitive skin that, as well as being blemish prone, can get quite sore and dry. This day cream has really helped with that. It feels pretty rich when it goes on, but it soon just melts into the skin and is comfortable and light enough to wear under foundation. I am also prone to eczema at times, occasionally around my mouth and chin, and since using this I've had no reoccurrence of that.
What have you been loving this Spring?
